International School of Portland is hiring for Summer Camp!

We are looking for enthusiastic Seasonal on-call Substitutes to join our team. Our summer camp staff and faculty come from around the world and are passionate about making language learning fun through hands-on activities, songs, games, outdoor fun, and cultural connections. DATES 2024: On call during summer camp sessions

Substitutes may work in one, two, or all three sessions.

• Session 1 - June 24 - July 5, 2024 (no camp on July 4th)
• Session 2 - July 08 - 19, 2024
• Session 3 - July 22 - August 02, 2024

(All on-call substitutes must participate in training in May and/or June. When feasible, all trainings will be held virtually)

HOURS: 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday as needed

PAY RATE:

$20.00 Returning Substitutes

$19.00 New Substitutes

General

As a seasonal summer camp On-call Substitute, you will follow the work schedule as outlined and discussed by the Summer Camp Director and perform those tasks and duties, including but not limited to planning and implementing curriculum, as related tosession themes; managing classroom behavior and creating a safe, welcoming, child-friendly environment; ensuring that children are supervised 100% of the time they are at post camp; advocating and promoting the post camp; communicatingwith parents, Camp Director, and other staff as well as working collegially with administrators and fellow teachers. You agree to devote your full business time and best efforts to the performance of your duties and to the furtherance of theSchool's interests.

Qualifications:

• Eligible to work in the USA
• Demonstrate proficiency in English is required, and or any of the three target languages is preferred
• At least 6 months experience working with children, preferably in a camp or school setting
• Support the mission and vision of The International School of Portland (https://intlschool.org/)
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, responsibility, and a passion for teaching young language learners
